  The arugula salad, cacio pepe, amalfi cocktail (any delicious wine to pair with your meal)
  We love it!
  It's loud, so get ready to lip read.
  It's cozy and communal.
  The food is some of the best in this city.

  My colleagues' and I have made Sotto our go-to restaurant when clients come to town! We have been at least 7 or 8 times for lunch now and can not get enough!
  
  Some of our favorites are the honey goat cheese spread, tortellini con formaggi, and the short rib tortellini. The icing on top is that delicious ricotta donut that comes with every meal.

  We were only in Cincinnati for a night and were really eager to try out Sotto. They fortunately were able to squeeze us in and they did not disappoint! First off, the interior is super intimate and romantic with candles lighting up the whole celar.
  
  We made sure to order a good sampling from the menu and we were very happy with every dish. The kale salad and tomato burrata were outstanding - both were bright, fresh and so flavorful. We also ordered the classic pasta with cream and pepper and branzino... Wow. The three other pasta dishes that were ordered by others in our party all voiced the same thing- it's so easy to understand the quality of ingredients used because everything tastes homemade with such depth to each dish. The branzino was cooked to perfection and paired with vegetables. Lastly the desserts we ordered were the donuts (a staple here) and the apple strudel. I'm not a big dessert person but I'm still dreaming of it. Long story short, you have to go and you won't be disappointed!

  Sotto is my favorite Italian restaurant in Cincinnati. I have been here 5-6 times, and it's consistently good. Highly recommend the chicken liver mousse, cacio e pepe, crispy pork loin, and panna cotta. The ambience is intimate and romantic but not stuffy. This is one of those places that I will definitely take people when I have friends in town.

  I made reservations for when family was visiting and I was so excited to end their Cincinnati trip here. We started with Blue Oven Tortano Bread with Olive Oil, Black Kale Caesar with Parmigiano and Grilled Octopus with White Bean Shiahito Ragu. This was my first time trying grilled octopus and it was incredible! The rest of my family enjoys octopus often and they thought this dish was spectacular. Then, three of us had the Cappellacci - Short Rib, Shallot & Thyme and one ordered the Gnudi - Sheep's Milk Ricotta & Pesto. I've always ordered Cappellacci but I think Gnudi has taken the first place spot! It was such a great time and as always our server was incredible.
